Across its different international editions, the 10Children projects address a wide range of urgent social issues affecting children in diverse contexts, including health, family structures, indigenous identity and marginalization, gender inequality, food insecurity and youth vulnerability.
While each location highlights a distinct theme shaped by local realities, all projects are rooted in extensive community-based research and direct collaboration with children, families, and local experts.

Three editions of 10Children have been completed. In Cleveland (2023), the production explored how poverty affects children's health - from unsafe housing to toxic stress - in partnership with MetroHealth and Cleveland Play House. In Düsseldorf (2024), the focus shifted to food poverty hidden within one of Europe's wealthiest cities, examining the long-term consequences of poor nutrition on children's development and potential. In Pune (2024), the edition - titled ती (SHE) - centred on the girls of the city's slums, whose access to education and safety is severely limited, culminating in a two-day conference where the girls themselves defined the changes they needed.
New editions of 10Children are already in development. In Curaçao (expected February 2027), the focus will be on boys navigating limited education, high unemployment, and the pull of crime in a society still shaped by colonial history. In Accra, Ghana (expected May 2027), the project will spotlight the Kayayei - girls and young women who migrate from Ghana's northern regions to work as market porters, living in precarious and often dangerous conditions. In Cape Town, South Africa, the edition will examine how apartheid's legacy, labour migration, and broken family structures leave children - often very young - shouldering adult responsibilities and caring for one another. In São Paulo, Brazil, the work will focus on indigenous children caught between the threats to their villages and the discrimination and invisibility they face in the city.
