10Children – art for change – provides children and young people growing up worldwide in extremely vulnerable financial and social conditions a powerful platform to raise their voices and share their stories. Through art they confront injustice, break silence and demand attention – igniting awareness and push for real concrete change in their lives and communities.
10Children operates at the intersection of art and social engagement, grounded strongly in community building and equality. We work side by side with children and young people from socio-economically vulnerable backgrounds – whose voices are too often overshadowed or excluded from public, cultural, and political discourse.
10Children acts as both an initiator and a catalyst for local collaboration - a dynamic flywheel that mobilizes energy, ideas, and action. In ten different cities, we build a community structured around four concentric circles. At the center are the children, young people, and their communities. Their perspectives shape the direction; their voices give the work its meaning and urgency. Surrounding them is a circle of artists from diverse disciplines - including visual arts, theatre, film, music, and literature. Working collaboratively across disciplines in both the research and presentation phases, they generate new insights and unexpected connections.
The third circle brings together local social organizations, schools, universities, hospitals, and other initiatives aligned with the theme. They contribute expertise, networks, and practical experience, firmly embedding the project within the social fabric of the city. The outer circle consists of companies, sponsors, funding bodies, and government institutions - partners who make the project financially and strategically viable. By sharing resources, knowledge, and vision, all stakeholders reinforce one another. The result is not a stand-alone art project, but a collectively driven movement.
